Our Summit theme of ‘One Movement: One Mission’ is more than a conference title; it’s an expression of a deep and shared conviction – that Elim is called to a future of intentional and intensive mission.
There is fresh momentum across our churches and communities – God is stirring us. There are signs of fresh life and growth and much evidence of the grace of God.
The four missional and ministry priorities shared at Summit last year I believe now need to be woven into Elim at every level. There’s nothing new in the words, but there is fresh significance and relevance in those words for us in this season. Our heart is for Elim to become:
A discipling Movement
• To see every leader become a disciple maker
• To see every church become a disciple focused community – greenhouses of grace where converts flourish and grow into disciples who grow into disciple makers
• To see every Elim member committed to being fully devoted disciples of Christ as their priority in life and committed to partnering in the shared goal of making disciples of others
This kind of discipleship is more than a course or programme. We must become a wider community who can be trusted with all kinds of people – people who, because they are with us, will become more like Jesus; who will grow into mature and all-out disciples of Christ.
